As part of the Diversity Day event, I led a workshop introducing Japanese ink painting to all Year 3 students. The session began with a brief history of the art form, followed by each student grinding their own ink using an inkstone and ink stick. They then used two different brushes on washi paper to paint either this year’s zodiac animal - the dragon - or a motif of their choice.

The workshop was very well received and proved o be a great success.
